    • Make sure you know important neighborhood and school information.
    • Educate you about current market conditions and explain how to use this information to your advantage.
    • Represent you to secure the best price and terms possible.
    • Make sure that all the details get taken care of - from finding the right financial adviser who offers competitive loan rates and programs, to arranging for needed home and termite inspections as well as appraisals and surveys, to insurance, to finding a closing attorney. Insurance is especially important in the Lowcountry.

   Before You Start Looking For Your New Home:

  • Check your credit rating. Straighten out any errors before its too late.
  • Determine a comfortable monthly budget for your new purchase, including down payment and monthly payment.

Closing Costs to Expect:

  • Lender fees include charges for loan processing, underwriting, appraisal, preparation and establishing an escrow account.
  • Attorney and third-party fees include charges for insurance, title search, surveys,and other inspections.
  • Escrow and interest fees include homeowner's and flood insurance, loan interest, real estate taxes, and occasionally private mortgage insurance.
